-
No. It requires specialised tools that I do not have access to at this time.
-
It depends on what's broken. Most components — screen, battery, storage, RAM — are replaceable and cost less than buying new. The exception is a failed motherboard, where replacement cost can outweigh the laptop's value.
-
Contact us straight away. Even if your laptop won't turn on, we can often recover your files and transfer them to a USB or email them to you — while we diagnose and repair the fault.

We're based in Hamilton East — right near the university. We're a mobile service, so we come to you. For students in flats around the university, that means no travel required. If it’s a quick fix, we’ll do it on the spot. If not, we’ll take your computer away and get it back to you as soon as possible.
-
We offer no fix, no fee on most diagnostic work. If we can't identify or resolve the issue, you won't pay a repair fee. We'll always confirm pricing with you before starting any paid work.
-
Standard repairs — screen replacements, battery swaps, SSD and RAM upgrades — are usually completed as soon as parts arrive. Parts availability varies, but we'll give you an estimate upfront.
If no parts need ordering, we aim to turn repairs around within two working days. More complex work, such as motherboard repairs, may take longer — we'll always give you a realistic timeframe before we begin.
-
It's a fair question. We carry public liability insurance, work transparently, and only access the files strictly necessary to complete the repair. Many of our customers are students handing over laptops with assignments and personal files — we take that responsibility seriously.
-
No. We only access what's needed to complete the specific repair or task you've asked us to do. Your data is your business.
